Dental Implants in Bangkok
A dental implant replaces a missing tooth with a titanium root, an abutment and a crown. At Smile and Shine Dental Clinic on Rama 3 Road, a single implant costs from 35,000 THB per tooth including a zirconia crown, and every case is planned and placed by Dr. Nalat, a FICOI implant dentist who has placed more than 2,000 implants since 2016.

Three parts that work like a natural tooth
A dental implant is placed in the jawbone where a tooth is missing. Over a few months it bonds with the bone (osseointegration), and a crown is then fixed on top. Neighbouring teeth do not need to be filed down.
1. Implant (fixture)
A small titanium or titanium-zirconium screw placed in the jawbone that acts as the new tooth root.
2. Abutment
A connector that attaches to the implant and holds the crown in place.
3. Crown
A zirconia crown shaped and coloured to match your other teeth. It is included in our implant price.

Implant-supported bridge
A fixed bridge on two implants to replace several missing teeth in a row. From 90,000 THB.
Implant overdenture

A fixed full arch of teeth on four or six implants. From 210,000 THB per arch.
Immediate implants
In suitable cases, the implant is placed on the same day the tooth is removed, with a temporary tooth for front teeth.

Rebuilding bone where it is too thin or low for an implant, assessed from your CT scan.

Dental implant treatment steps
Most single implants take about 3–6 months from placement to the final crown, to allow the implant to bond with the bone.

Consultation and CBCT scan
Dr. Nalat examines your teeth and gums, reviews your health history and takes a 3D CBCT scan to measure the bone.

Digital planning
The implant position is planned on the scan, with a surgical guide for computer-guided placement where appropriate.

Implant placement
The implant is placed under local anaesthesia. For front teeth, a temporary tooth is provided.

Healing: about 3–6 months
The implant bonds with the jawbone. Healing time depends on your bone and whether grafting was needed.

We take a digital impression and fit your zirconia crown, checking the colour, shape and bite.

Care and check-ups
Brush, clean between teeth and attend regular check-ups and professional cleaning to keep the implant and gums healthy.

How much does a dental implant cost in Bangkok?
At Smile and Shine Dental Clinic, a single dental implant costs 35,000 THB per tooth with a Korean system (Neobiotech, Osstem or Dentium), 65,000 THB with Straumann Roxolid and 80,000 THB with Straumann Roxolid SLActive, including the abutment and zirconia crown.
Is the crown included in the implant price?
Yes. Our implant prices include the implant, the abutment and a zirconia crown. A CBCT scan (3,000 THB) is required once for every implant case.
Is dental implant surgery painful?
Implants are placed under local anaesthesia, so you should not feel pain during the procedure. Mild soreness or swelling for a few days afterwards is common and is managed with prescribed medication.
How long does dental implant treatment take?
For most single implants, about 3–6 months from implant placement to the final crown. Cases that need a bone graft may take longer.
How long do dental implants last?
How long an implant lasts depends on oral hygiene, regular check-ups, general health and habits such as smoking or teeth grinding. With good care and regular maintenance, implants are designed for long-term use.
What if I don’t have enough bone for an implant?
A bone graft or sinus lift can often rebuild the bone. Your CBCT scan shows whether this is needed; the cost is 10,000–30,000 THB for a single implant or bridge and is included in your written treatment plan.
Which implant brands do you use?
We use Straumann implants from Switzerland and Korean systems from Neobiotech, Osstem and Dentium. Dr. Nalat will explain which suits your bone, bite and budget.
Can I get a tooth on the same day?
In suitable cases, an implant can be placed on the same day a tooth is removed, and front teeth receive a temporary tooth. The final crown is fitted after the implant has healed.
