Is Airflow painful?
Airflow feels much gentler than scaling. You will only feel a cool water spray cleaning your tooth surface. There is no vibration or scary noise.
How is it different from scaling?
Scaling focuses on removing “hard tartar” along the gum line and between teeth. Airflow focuses on removing “stains and biofilm” on the tooth surface. They are often performed together to achieve the cleanest results.
Does Airflow make teeth thinner or cause sensitivity?
No. The powder used is extremely fine and specifically designed for cleaning tooth surfaces. Therefore, it does not damage the enamel or cause sensitivity. It is a safe and internationally recognized method.
How long do the results last?
The longevity of the results depends on individual eating and drinking habits. Avoiding strongly colored foods and beverages will help keep your teeth bright longer. Generally, it is recommended to repeat the procedure every 6 months along with your regular dental check-up.
Does it whiten teeth like bleaching?
